So some things I'd like to get done this year are (not necessarily in this order):
- Finish our brick patio in our backyard
- Edge our flowerbeds with remaining brick
- Put up a fence around our backyard (not going to happen this year!)
- Mini room makeovers for my room and the girl's room
- Install baseboard trim under my kitchen cabinets and paint them all a creamy white (still searching for the perfect color)Done!
- Window treatments for all rooms!!
- Build a new entertainment center (I'm already drawing up plans)Done! Bought one instead of building one.
- Take all of the things in boxes in our attic and put them in rubbermaid totes and move to our garage rafters (only things not affected by extreme temps)
- Put in the transition from the dining room to the living room
oh I'm participating in Thrifty Decor Chick's Before and After Party. Go check it out!

It sounds like a good list, I need to make one of these myself!

ReplyDeleteThanks you, Karen!! I am a huge list maker. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Stephanie!I actually do have some beautiful sheer curtains to add to the reading area, but had forgotten about them until reading your comment. They were originally for the dress-up area, but I couldn't figure out how to hang them with the sloped ceiling.
Hi, Rebecca! :) Thanks so much for your input on painting the brick. It was so good to hear everyone's thoughts.
ReplyDeleteSherwin Williams makes a very popular (deservedly so) creamy white called "Dover White". If you don't have a SW near you, both Lowe's and Home Depot have SW paint formulas in their computer system, so they can mix, say, and Olympic paint to have the exact color formula of SW "Dover White".
Hope it helps! :)

Thanks Jacci! I'll have to try it out!
