My Current Projects

John and I decided that we're going to try to get a coat of paint on all the rooms in the house. Kind of bring each room to a finishing point as far as projects to do, so we can focus on more important things.

I'm coming up with a list for each room, projects and decor, but I also have a few projects already in progress. Currently I am working on the laundry room and the bathroom.

Before Christmas, I had put a table in my laundry room for my sewing stuff, but it was just collecting clutter so I took it down. So what used to look like this:

Tucked behind the shower, is our washer. 

Currently,  I have 1 curtain up in the laundry room and have picked a paint color for in there. 

The color is Atmospheric by Benjamin Moore. I saw it in  a Pottery Barn catalog last year and was thinking I'd use it in my room, but I think it's too dark for my room. 

It's really dark in the picture, but I love the way the blue, tan and white work together. This week I need to sew the remaining curtains for the sliding glass doors and hang the curtain rod. 

I can't really reach the cabinets above the washer and dryer so I want to take down those cabinets.  Eventually I'd like to get a stackable washer and dryer and put it back there and then they'd need to go anyway. Originally I was going to get a shelf, but figure I should re-use what I have. So, I'll hang the cabinet from above the water heater 

above the dryer, then take the shelf off and put a closet rod there so I can hang clothes straight from the dryer. I'll take one of the cabinets from above the washer and dryer, and hang it above the water heater for household tools and whatnot. After that is all done, I'll be ready to paint and I'm hoping to have it done the first part of July. :)
